Shanghai, Suzhou and Hangzhou
 

Day 01   Shanghai
Morning tour to the Bund, a popular promenade along the Huangpu River, where the old meets the modern in Shanghai, then to the Old Town with its winding alleyways, lined with shops, tea houses and restaurants, and to the elegant and tranquil Yu Garden. Continue to the Shanghai Xintiandi, which is a new tourist attraction in downtown Shanghai, featuring the city’s unique “Shikumen” houses and a maze of narrow alleys, which have been converted into specialist F & B, retail, entertainment and cultural facilities. Day 02   Shanghai / Tongli/ Suzhou 
Drive to Suzhou, a small town famous for its classic gardens in the south of China and often so called Oriental Venice. On the way to Suzhou, visit Tongli Town. Tongli town is the best-preserved water town in Jiangsu Province. It is located in the east of an ancient canal on the shores of Taihu Lake 18km away from Suzhou city. Tongli still retains the original Ming and Qing dynasty style of architecture. In this small town there are 15 criss-crossing rivers with 20 bridges. Teahouses, shops and traditional homes line the narrow street. Upon arrival, check in your hotel. (B/L)

Day 03   Suzhou/Hangzhou
Visit the Lingering Garden, Tiger Hill, Cloud Rock Pagoda, Embroidery Research Institute and take a short cruise on the Grand Canal constructed over 1,000 year ago in Sui Dynasty. Drive to Hangzhou in the evening. (B/L)

Day 04   Hangzhou
Visit the West Lake. You will surely appreciate the fabled scenery such as 'Broken Bridge', 'Autumn Moon over the Calm Lake' and ' Three Pools mirroring the Moon'. You will take a short cruise tour on the West Lake. Then visit to Lingyin Temple, which is among the ten most famous Buddhist temples in China and has a history of over 1000 years. If time permits, visit a tea plantation and have a taste of the tea as well as acquaint yourself with the ancient refining process of tea. (B/L)

Day 05   Hangzhou/Shanghai
Visit to Six Harmony Pagoda and Guozhuang Garden. After lunch, drive back to Shanghai. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel or train/airport for your next destination. (B/L)
