5 nights tour package visiting Lhasa, Gyantse and Shigatse

Day 01 / Lhasa
Upon arrival at Gongar Airport, the highest airport in the world, you will be met and driven 70 miles to the city of Lhasa, the capital of Tibet.  The rest of the day will be yours.  Take a good rest after your flight and get ready to explore the roof of the world.

Day 02 Lhasa (B/L/D)
A full day guided tour of the Potala Palace, the winter palace of the Dalai Lama since the 7th century symbolises Tibetan Buddhism and its central role in the traditional adminstration of Tibet.  Then onto Jokhang Temple, which is an exceptional Buddhist religious complex.  It is the spirtual center of Tibet.  The temple displays a combination of Han, Tibetan and Nepalese architectural techniques.  Barkhor Street, which is an old and traditional shopping street in the center of Lhasa, is a place where Tibetan culture, economy, religion and arts assemble.  It is a must go for every visitor.

Day 03 Lhasa (B/L/D)
Today you will visit the Monastery, one of the three largest monasteries in Tibet.  Enshrined in the monastery are cover 10,000 golden copper Buddhist statues, the holy prayer scripture written in cinnabar, and other incredible treasure.  Then it will be on to the Tibet Museum, the largest cultural facility in the ethnic autonomous region with a huge collection of unique and historical Tibetan art.  Later in the afternoon we will visit the Norbu Lingka, the summer palace of the Dalai Lama.

Day 04 Lhasa/Yamdrok Lake/Shigatse (B/L/D)
Today you will drive 260 miles from Lhasa via the beautiful Turquoise Yamdrok Lake to Shigatse.  Please enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way.  Check in local best Gyangtse Hotel or similar.

Day 05 Shigatse / Gyangtse / Shigatse (B/L/D)
Another short drive to Gyangtse will bring us to the Pelkor Chode Monastery.  In the afternoon we will drive to Shigatse and visit the Tashilunpo Monastery, which is the residence of the Panchen Lama.

Day 06 Shigatse/Lhasa (B)
Transfer to Lhasa airport for your return flight
