Day 01 US / China
Board your flight for China today.
Day 02 Beijing (B/L/D)
Fly from US to Beijing. You will be met and transferred to your hotel.
Day 03 Beijing (B/L/D)
Today you will visit the Tiananmen Square, the largest City Square in the world. From Tiananmen Square, visitors will be allowed to enter the gates of the Forbidden City. This massive complex was the centre of the Ming and Qing dynasties. With 9,999 rooms, this remarkable, well-preserved imperial palace is the largest in the world. After lunch, you will take a trishaw to visit a Hutong, an ancient city alley, to experience the life of the local people. Afterwards we will take you for a traditional Chinese sculled cruise on Houhai Lake, where you will enjoy the beautiful scenery while listening to Chinese music played by a local musician on board. Dinner will be served at the hotel tonight.
Day 04 Beijing (B/L/SD)
Today you will experience the splendor of the Great Wall, the pride of China and one of the Seven Wonders of the World. It is an amazing manmade structure built over 2000 years ago to protect China from northern invaders. Next on to the Summer Palace, the largest and best preserved of all imperial palace gardens. Marvel with fascination at the Marble Boat and the ornately painted Long Corridor. In the evening, enjoy a delicious Peking Duck Banquet and amazing Beijing Acrobatics Show.
Day 05 Beijing (B/L/D)
This morning we will take you on a tour to the Temple of Heaven, a Ming Temple where the Emperors performed annual rites essential for the well being of their land. In the afternoon, you will be free to explore Beijing. An imperial banquet will be served at Beihai Park, where you will enjoy a display of amazing Beijing acrobatics.
Day 06 Beijing / Xian (B/D)
Make your own arrangements for exploring more of Beijing in the morning. In the afternoon you will fly to Xian, the most historic city in all of China. It was the capital of ancient China for 11 dynasties. Tour to the Ancient City Wall. You will spend the two nights in remarkable Xian.
Day 07 Xian (B/L/SD)
Today's tour will be to the vast treasure of the underground army of the Terracotta Warriors. They are found at an archaeological site, which so far has yielded some 8000 ancient terracotta soldiers and horses. Each one is a unique, finely detailed sculpture. In the afternoon, we will visit a local village and the Grand Mosque. Dinner is a splendid dumpling banquet and a spectacular stage show at the Tang Dynasty Theatre.
Day 08 Xian / Guilin (B/L/D)
When you fly to Guilin, we will take you on a tour of Reed Flute Cave, a wonderful limestone cave with a dazzling variety of stalactites and stalagmites under the astounding peaks of Fubo Hill and Elephant Trunk Hill.
Day 09 Guilin / Yangshuo / Guilin (B/L/D)
The highlight of Guilin is the Li River cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo. You will pass through various strange and wonderful mountain formations. Upon our arrival in Yangshuo you will have time to roam the local market before a short drive back to Guilin. Enjoy the Minority Cultural Show after dinner.
Day 10 Guilin / Chongqing (B/L/D)
Flight to Chongqing in the morning. We will visit Erling Park, where we will have a bird’s eye view of this amazing city. In Chongqing Zoo you will visit the Pandas and take a tour of the old area of Ciqikou to try Chinese Kongfu Tea. In the evening we will board on a deluxe cruise and dinner will be served onboard.
Day 11 Yangtze Cruise (B/L/D)
You will have a shore excursion to the Fengdu Snow Jade Cave. Enjoy your welcome banquet and reception show in the evening.
Day 12 Yangtze Cruise (B/L/D)
Shore excursion to Shennong Stream for a farewell banquet in the evening.
Day 13 Yangtze Cruise / Yichang / Shanghai (B/L/D)
Visit to the Three Gorges Dam. The cruise will pass through the 5-step ship-lock before arriving in Yichang. Disembark the cruise and fly directly to Shanghai. Upon arrival Shanghai, you will be met and transferred to your hotel where dinner will be served.
Day 14 Shanghai (B/L/SD)
Today you will take a city tour around Shanghai. The tour will take us to the Yu Yuan Garden, a classical Ming Dynasty garden with pavilions, towers, and terraces. Then it will be on to the new district across from the Bund called Pudong to experience the economy booming in China. After lunch, you will visit the Bund, the Nanjing Road and the Shanghai Museum.
Day 15 Shanghai / US (B)
Transfer to the airport for your flight back to US
