This educational and cultural program provide our participants with a myriad of opportunities to experience first-hand the spectacular array of peoples and cultures that give China its unique identity. Its emphasis upon broadening and deepening the perspective of each participant, by encouraging them to interact with the culture, allows the participants to create their own exclusive experiences of China. It strives to cultivate a high degree of cultural, spiritual and historical learning through an in-depth exploration of China. This goal will be fostered by immersing the participant in a novel culture, a new language, and a fresh set of adventures. A popular Chinese idiom states “Yan Jian Wei Shi”, with the literal translation: “seeing is believing”. We believe that this program opens the eyes of our participants to their widest extent.

Trip Highlights
This 8 days’ educational and cultural tour to Beijing, Suzhou and Tongli, Shanghai is a perfect blend of China business knowledge and cultural learning. You will:
- Attend a half-day pre-departure orientation at Minneapolis addressing Chinese culture and values, etiquettes and program logistics
- Visit Beijing Sport University and interact with teachers
- Visit Suzhou High School and attend different classes
- Visit Shanghai Children’s Palace and learn about after-school-education
- Experience the fabled cultural and historic highlights of the oldest living civilization in the world!

Cities to be visited
Participants will visit the following four cities:
- Beijing - Recognized as the political, educational and cultural center of the People’s Republic of China, Beijing has been an integral part of China’s history over the past eight centuries, and is renowned for its opulent palaces, temples, and huge stone walls and gates.
- Shanghai - This city is often regarded as the center of finance and trade in mainland China. With its industrial and commercial strength, Shanghai is the most prosperous city in China and is known as the “Shining Pearl of the Orient” around world.
- Suzhou - Located on the shore of Taihu Lake in southeast Jiangsu Province, Suzhou, a" paradise on earth," is a renowned historical and cultural city with a history of more than 2,500 years. As the largest economy in Jiangsu Province, Suzhou is a city full of market opportunities for foreign investors coming to China and remains one of the nation' s key economic focal points.
- Tongli – Established in 7th Century, Tongli is surrounded by five lakes and crisscrossed by canals and is slightly round in shape, covering an area of 86 hectares. The town is famed for its townhomes, architecture, bridges, landscapes and canals, all of which have existed since hundreds to over thousand years ago. It is also well known for its scholars, wealth and economic developments.
